The millennial music market forms a huge chunk of the global music industry at present, so aiming your music to this demographic is a smart idea. Dozens of bands and songwriters have leapt on the bandwagon in order to brainwave ideas for their next albums. One band that’s benefited enormously from the rise of Millennial's is a four piece quartet named TV Coma, who hail from the bright lights of Brighton, as their sound is the type of music which fits this gap perfectly, if you like this style of music.
The band’s newest single ‘Congratulations’ is hoped for the band to be a major statement but falls short of the mark for me, it has sections at the beginning and ending that can be described as monotonous which are thankfully rescued by the rest of the track which provides a punchy texture and an attitude which is very appealing and a hint of rightness from TV Coma which made sure I didn’t switch off halfway through.
It’s a shame that the track didn’t start with the bang and rhythm which stands up strong within the middle section, my advice don’t hold back with the punchy texture and attitude rubbing it in the listeners face straight away as this is TV Coma’s strongest suit.
