After over two decades away from the music scene, Power of Dreams have chosen the complex and memorable year of 2020 as their time to reappear. The Irish indie band are best known for their debut album ‘Immigrants, Emigrants and Me’ which provided Power of Dreams a good source of success.
The current single ‘Hurricane’ is the latest single taken from Ausländer which is due out later this Autumn ahead of a special 30th anniversary commemorative issue of ’Immigrants, Emigrants and Me.’
‘Hurricane’ is a track that demonstrates through lyrics some of the frustrations inherent in a tumultuous relationship. The first noticeable ear prick to the track is the rhythmic bassline tapping out the foundations of the record, then the synths provide an extra layer of interest which allows the vocals to deliver the catchy lyrics.
Power of Dreams have delivered a welcome return to the music world and after listening to this track you will be wanting more without the lengthy time period from their previous offerings.
