Me & Munich Single Review

Track Title: Unspoken

When can a band consider themselves established? Is a question often asked, for us here at Off the Hook Music we believe it can vary from artist to artist, but one thing that seems to be universally agreed is that the second album is a crucial hurdle to clear along the way. Me & Munich are approaching this hurdle and are giving us an insight to what to expect with this single, ‘Unspoken’.

Like the unsettling rumble of thunder announcing an incoming storm, ‘Unspoken’ has a similar lead up with an unsettled moment before the oncoming clash of sound. This track is all about the moments when people are unwilling to speak out to resolve the impeded damage about to be done, the best lyric in the track which highlights this is “The unsaid is dancing in this room, our unspoken manners climb these walls.

The tempo of the song has a funny way of enhancing the lyrics to the focal point of sound, it has an edgy energy, packed with an indie rock sound that makes you aware of the meaning of the track. The verses of the record ramps up and has a great quality which will be eaten up when played live, then roared back at the band as this section of the track is very catchy. If you want a radio ready and strong indie rock track this is the one for you.

3.5 Hooks out of 5
