Cucamaras are a busy band that don’t hold back on their ambition, forming in 2019 they already released a debut EP ‘Till The Meter Runs Out’ and a handful of singles. The most recent of those singles being ‘Keep it Cool’ in July of this year, and ‘Window Seat’ is the second side of the AA-side single release. But releasing music hasn’t been the only thing Cucamaras have been successful at, they’ve notched up over 25,000 streams on Spotify and headlining sold out shows in the hotbed of live music scene of Sheffield and Nottingham.
‘Window seat’ has a subject matter of a hazy homage to that simple pleasure of getting a seat with a view as you jet off on your holiday, for most of use the hazy part of the subject matter will be the best way to explain their distant memory of flight holidays this year. Like laying on that sun bed, ‘Window seat’ has a steady tempo and allows the notes to heat your aching bones and realise the slow rhythm of life is actually what is needed. The contrast within the rough vocals provides a hint of an added layer to the record, for us at Off the Hook Music we missed a section within the track that had that added energy and punch. Don’t forget Cucamaras it’s not all about soaking up the sun on holiday, there’s always the raving evenings that provide the most memorable moments.
